I started my first company in my early twenties. Built it from nothing, bootstrapped, no outside capital. Did the same thing a second time. Both grew into multi-million-dollar businesses. I ran both as CEO for over a decade.

When it came time to sell, I learned something that changed how I think about business permanently.

My first exit went to a private equity firm. The deal closed, the money hit the account, but I knew I had left real value on the table. One buyer showed up. There was no competition, no structured process, and nobody on my side running the deal. I took what was offered because I didn't know there was another way.

I promised myself that would never happen again.

For my second exit, I ran an institutional sellside process. Hundreds of targeted buyers contacted. Multiple competing offers. Every term negotiated professionally. The result was 16× EBITDA, acquired by a billion-dollar corporation. Same founder, same skillset. The only thing that changed was the process.

After that, I started advising other business owners on their exits. The same pattern showed up every time: smart people who had spent 10, 20, sometimes 30 years building something real, walking into the most important financial decision of their career with no process behind them. Most of them trusted a broker because they didn't know another option existed.

That is why I built FISART. To give every business owner access to the same institutional sellside process that changed my outcome. Not a listing. Not a marketplace. A real process, run by a real advisor, with real competition among buyers.

Through me, a handful of good people are doing very well now in life. Their catalyst was me. That is the standard I hold myself to with every engagement.
